vision your life

Believe it or not, my mother introduced me to the wonderful concept of vision boards. For any of my fellow-bloggers who aren't familiar with the concept, you're in for a treat! The best part of this? -- simplicity.

how to create a vision board

Step one: Cut out images of the things you love
Step two: Paste them onto a board
Step three: Realize your life's ambition

The purpose of a vision board is to help draw clarity, and lead you to your desired future. (Ok, I know it sounds a bit cheesy, but believe me, it works!) -- My mother's board contains photos of summer homes, laughter, high-end fashion, 50's glamour, home decor & more. She leaves it in the kitchen where she spends the majority of her time. These images inspire her daily -- she continues to work hard in order to achieve these realities (which they will become if you try hard enough) -- You see, vision boards help provide clarity to your life. If you ever get lost, or confused with the direction of your life, remember why you started -- they keep you focused and determined. I am just beginning my vision board journey, and it looks oh-so-adorable above my cozy office! Here are a few of my favorites below! So, tell me -- do you have one?

  2. I love this!!! I saw a quote the other day that said something about missing the pre-internet inspiration days when you used glue, tape, scissors, magazines, fabric swatches, etc, and it made me think about how I never do that anymore!! You are so right - a good REAL vision board (not a pinterest board lol) is in order for me! :) xo

  4. I do not have a vision board but I have considered many times making one. Maybe it is something I actually need to start. I would love to see a picture of your vision board.
